Dani Gobuty Eskow has been tutoring and preparing Bar/Bat Mitzvah students for years and understands and meets the needs of each individual student. Through her learning and training at the rabbinical school of The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City she has studied and acquired skills and knowledge from the best scholars in Conservative Judaism today. Additionally, Dani's experience teaching in Hebrew schools both in Boston and New York City enables her to understand and customize programs to meet the learning styles and needs of all students. Dani was born in Toronto, Canada, and then moved to Los Angeles, California where she attended Valley Beth Shalom Jewish Day School and Milken Jewish Middle School. It was here that she first found her true passion for Judaism and hoped to become a leader within the Jewish community. Dani moved with her family to Israel where she further developed her love for studying Torah. After graduating high school Dani earned her bachelors degree in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Hebrew Language and Literature, and Psychology from Brandeis University. Dani is currently studying at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City where she lives with her husband Jonathan. Dani is passionate about teaching and believes in making the Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation process a fun and meaningful experience for the student and the family. Dani's experience and love of Torah infuses her teaching and creates an engaging and enjoyable learning experience for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah student.
Marisa Gobuty is a Hebrew tutor of mybarmitzvahtutors.com specializing in teaching all levels of Hebrew in order to gain the necessary skills for Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation. Marisa is Dani’s sister and has also lived in Canada, United States, and Israel. Marisa's love of Hebrew developed from her experiences in Israel and as a member of the Israeli National Women’s Basketball Team. To further develop her love of the Hebrew language she studied its composition and detail at Syracuse University in upstate New York. She received her bachelors of science degree in Biology from Syracuse University last spring and will be attending Tufts University School of Medicine in the upcoming year. Marisa was Dani’s first student and success. Together they have developed the methods and programs that will ensure your child will be prepared for his/her Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
