Mybarmitzvahtutors.com eliminates the time driving to and from appointments and scheduling your day around your child’s tutoring sessions. We can prepare your child from the comfort of your own home. We keep your child motivated and our sessions are utilized to optimize your child’s time and attention.
3. How does this affect my synagogue affiliation?
We support your synagogue affiliation and will prepare your child according to your synagogue’s service, rituals, and requirements.
4. What if I don't belong to a synagogue?
We will prepare your child to fulfill the requirements of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah and help connect you with a synagogue or a rabbi in your area.
5. How long is the course?
It depends on your child’s needs. The Hebrew program and the Bar/Bat Mitzvah program are each 32 weeks long. If your child needs Hebrew reading tutoring, he/she will complete the Hebrew program before beginning the 32 week Bar/Bat Mitzvah program.
6. How often do you tutor my child?
We schedule regular bi-weekly tutoring sessions with your child to ensure a firm grasp of the material. Each session is 30 minutes long to optimize concentration and to guarantee adequate practice time. Your child will also be given assignments to practice and complete between sessions. This will cement the materials learned during each session and enable us to proceed.
7. How will I know how my child is progressing?
We will send you bi-monthly reports to keep you updated on your child’s progress. If you have any questions or concerns you can contact us anytime for more information on your child’s progress.
8. How much does the course cost?
Each session costs $45. As a package together for Hebrew and Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation the total cost is discounted. This includes all learning materials. Payment plans are available. Please contact us for more information.
9. What age should my child start preparation?
We encourage you to begin this process as early as possible. Ideally, your child should begin preparing at 11-12 years old. However if your child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah is less than a year away, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your child.
